10 Countries Offering Free Education!

Travelling to a new country, studying there, meeting new people, their culture, even a new language is almost everyone’s dream. A whole lot of experience waits for us out there. On top of those movies like Old School and Accepted make us dream what would we do in a situation like these.

The dream goes good, then something really funny happens. We realize that studying abroad would need money. A lot of money. After some time, we realize something great! There are many countries besides states, UK and some popular European nations (that may or may not give education for free!) That is when a blog like this would help.

Believe it or not, there are countries out there that are offering free education or with nominal tutin fee to the international and residential students alike. This list may inspire you to pack your bags.

1. Germany

Germany tops the list when it comes to excellent higher education at minimal to no cost. The tuition fee in public universities is null. However, the nominal university admission fee is of €150-250

2. Norway

Regardless of the nationality, graduate, post-graduate and doctorate level programs in Norway are absolutely free of cost. There is just one requirement however, fluency in Norwegian. This is because most of the undergraduate courses are taught in the language. Also, you would have to give proof of your proficiency first.

3. Sweden

The universities of Sweden do charge application and tuition fee from the non-members of Nordic countries, EU and EEA for graduate and post-graduate programmes. They do, however, offer PhD position for no fee, on top of that you’ll get a monthly salary! Why not sir.

4. Austria

The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA students per semester is around €730. Not bad for such a quality life and a beautiful country.

5. Finland

Finland didn’t charge any tuition fee for any level of education of any nationality before 2017. Then it started charging tuition fee from non-EA/EEA students for English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.

6. Czech Republic

Free education in this country is for students of every nationality. You just have to know the local language. If in any case that is not suited for you, courses in English are also available. But with nominal fee €886 total tuition fee.

7. France

Who wouldn’t like to live in the country of Eiffel Tower and amazing cuisine? These perks overcome the fact that only some public universities cost tuition fee while mostly highest education in France is free.

8. Belgium

A totally different culture and people would do great with the minimal fee for international study in Belgium. So tempting…

International students are offered low cost higher education to international students with minimal cost of living as well. That topped with beautiful historical sights and culture to experiences.

10. Spain

Like other European countries, this country offers absolute free education for EU citizens only. But the international students are offered a reasonable cost of living and low-cost education.
